Melee Weapon Comparison and Loadout Choices

Selecting an appropriate weapon depends on whether your immediate priority is crowd control, coin farming, or self-defense against campers near infecting lights.

BatDefault defense upon spawningZero purchase cost and 10 durability, but deals low damage per hit
KatanaParkour movement and rapid coin grindingGrants bonus movement speed, but suffers from low stun and weak single-hit damage
BranchBursting down individual targetsInflicts heavy damage and a 2-second stun, but lowers walk speed and has a 4-second cooldown
SpearAttacking campers from safe distancesFeatures the longest melee reach, but costs 3,000 coins and deals low damage

Primary Melee Weapons and Combat Performance

The bat serves as the baseline melee tool. It spawns directly in the player lobby and appears across maps like Fortress, Headcam, and Corridor. The weapon deals 10 damage per swing with a 2-second cooldown and a 1-second stunlock. With 10 points of durability, a full bat generates 10 coins at a rate of 1 coin per successful hit.

Purchased for 1,000 coins, the katana provides a 0.333-second cooldown across 50 points of durability. Players receive 0.333 coins per hit, which awards 1 coin for every 3 strikes, totaling 16 coins across its lifespan. The katana boosts player movement speed, making it suitable for maneuvering across obstacle courses and traversing maps during Elimination mode.

The branch costs 1,500 coins and delivers high single-hit damage alongside a 2-second stun. Each strike yields 3 coins across its 4-hit lifespan, rewarding 12 coins total. Holding the branch reduces human movement speed, and missing an attack triggers a 3 to 4-second cooldown window. Equipping the branch right before striking avoids the movement penalty during chases.

The spear costs 3,000 coins and provides the longest reach among standard melee tools. It offers 17 durability points, returning 1 coin per strike for a total payout of 17 coins. Its extended poke allows players to strike smilers who stand directly inside infecting light zones without getting caught in the conversion aura.

The chain costs 3,850 coins and features a 1.3-second stun duration. It can strike several targets in a single arc, increasing damage output per strike when hitting grouped enemies. Striking multiple smilers also multiplies coin generation per swing, making the chain effective in servers packed with opponents.

The packed ice weapon originates from the winter seasonal update. It possesses 5 points of durability, generates 2 coins per hit, and stuns targets for 1.25 seconds. Similar to the branch, holding packed ice lowers movement speed, but its wide active hitbox compensates by landing hits consistently in tight spaces.

Secondary Map Pickups and Grab Escapes

Secondary weapons spawn inside specific map rotations or through passes, providing ranged firepower and grab-release mechanics.

The knife cuts through smiler grabs before conversion finishes. Using the knife to escape consumes 2 to 3 durability points without awarding coins, leaving remaining hits for direct combat. Players with the 225 Robux VIP gamepass automatically receive a knife every life on a 15-second respawn cooldown.

Ranged firearms appear in designated factory structures. The shotgun carries limited ammunition of 3 to 4 rounds, delivering heavy knockback that can send smilers into voids or hazard zones. Firing the shotgun or handgun breaks a smiler grab instantly. The handgun provides high-capacity fire that inflicts 135 damage per shot.

The hatchet spawns as a pickup on select stages. It acts as a heavy burst weapon capable of clearing close threats or freeing a trapped human once per life. The glass bottle rests directly at spawn, offering 2 quick strikes to finish weakened targets.

Potions alter combat parameters across both teams. Ice potions freeze opposing targets within an area-of-effect for 8 seconds. Jump potions allow players to jump while stunned at the expense of maximum health, while speed potions cut incoming stun duration by 50 percent. Smilers using giant potions or encountering endangered status gain increased health pools and size.

Tactical Weapon Combos and Attack Sequences

Chaining weapons together bypasses long recovery cooldowns and finishes targets before they flee.

A common sequence pairs the branch with secondary weapons. Striking an opponent with the branch applies a 2-second stun, granting enough time to switch to a secondary tool like the handgun or bottle to deliver finishing blows. Pairing packed ice with a VIP knife creates a fast loop where the ice hit immobilizes the target, followed by rapid knife stabs to deplete remaining health.

When fighting in maps with environmental hazards, the branch or packed ice stun followed immediately by a shotgun blast pushes opponents into kill bricks or acid pools. Shovels found on specific maps also pair with primary melee weapons to stagger enemies repeatedly.

Requirements for the All Weapons Badge

Collecting every standard tool in a single session awards the official all weapons badge, titled Obtained All Weapons In One Life.

The objective requires holding eight specific items in your inventory simultaneously without dying:

  • Ice Potion
  • Invisibility Potion
  • Hatchet
  • Shotgun
  • Handgun
  • Knife
  • Bat
  • Bottle

Acquiring the badge requires collecting the bat and bottle from spawn, then moving into changing maps to retrieve firearms, potions, and the hatchet. Escaping hostile grabs with a knife or firearm preserves progress, while touching an infecting light or falling into a void resets inventory collection. Returning to safe player spawn zones between map transitions protects gathered items while waiting for required rooms to appear.
